A world permeated by a truly salty church, flavored by the kingdom of God.
Melach Tov pursues the restoration of the Acts church, empowering believers today to disciple nations with cultural action. We stimulate faith, teach and demonstrate, empower other ministries, and conduct sometimes sensitive missions all over the world.
Increasingly the church has been losing saltiness – particularly in the West – and the cultural changes we see reflect that. Let’s change that. Let’s pursue saltiness, together!
Imagine a world permeated by those who are willing to go into the nations and into their own nation for Jesus – those sent to permeate culture and challenge the systems of the world with the truth of Jesus Christ. What changes could happen if we – the salt of the earth – were to truly be salty like in the book of Acts?
That’s what we’re all about at Melach Tov – equipping, going and doing: destroying the works of the devil through obedience and releasing the glorious light of Jesus Christ as we pursue the Acts church again.
Salt changes flavor. Salt preserves. Salt disrupts the cohesion between water molecules. Salt changes its environment. Salt can represent covenant. Salt is necessary for human life.

Where we go, we hope to leave the church changed. A changed church can change culture.
Here are just a few examples of the impact we've had...
Example: A teaching in Mombasa, Kenya at a 2024 pastors conference focused on challenging pastors to pray for – and expect – immediate physical healing as both a demonstration of God’s love and an outcome of the price Jesus paid for us on the cross. We taught, shared testimonies, demonstrated methods, and then had them pray for one another. Nearly half the pastors needed healing. Everyone who got prayed for was healed. They’ll approach healing differently now!
After more than a year with a small group of believers (and other ministries) contending weekly in prayer and worship on the streets of Portland, Oregon, USA during the 2020 riots and into 2021, we saw breakthrough. Incremental changes happened along the way. The hold of the enemy became smaller and smaller but the primary stronghold remained encamped on our public land. In summer 2021, we found ourselves in a direct confrontation with the remaining dark forces of that stronghold. It was a tense moment, and thank God nobody got hurt. But the spiritual work was done. Something broke at that point. Within weeks, campsites were gone, the few that remained shifted to the other side of the street, and all the remnants were completely gone in a month or two following that confrontation. This is an example of the power for prayer walking our cities and lands.
Both examples highlight different facets of our ministry:
Impacted leaders in Kenya are now better prepared to go teach their congregations to become the impact at their own workplaces, in government, and on the streets.
Our beloved city of Portland has seen the area we prayer walked remain free of the darkness that once enshrined itself there and in late 2025 the City of Portland began restoring the historical statue at the site (which had been taken down in 2020), praise to God!
These are just two examples of how we act as salt to make the church salty again. We’ve got many more stories!
Going to the nations has a high financial cost. Taking people to the nations – eventually through scholarships – has an even higher cost. Prayer walking, spending time with people to empower and equip, and the other work we do has a considerable cost. Even when we work through technology, that technology and the time it takes to produce content has a high financial cost.
Your donations go toward empowering us in this mission.
In addition to your donations, your prayer is highly valued. You can also share about us with your family and friends and encourage them to help.
We also take donations of materials, software, smart phones, cameras and technology equipment, etc. Where we go we like to document what God does. You can help with that!
